Are generators the solution to our Electricity woes?

When we experience black outs generators kick in this has a negative impact as this increases the greehouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.

I think when building Offices and Houses nowadays people should be considerate of the environment we live in, so as to reduce the effects of their carbon footprint.

A solution would be to build and eco-friendly Offices and homes with large windows to allow sunlight and natural ventilation in summer.

Instead of using generators, geysers powered by solar panels can be mounted on the roof and additional panels to power the home when power outtages occur/load shedding.

With souring fuel costs Generators are and expensive route economically and environmentally. They also belch out lethal CO2 levels, in addition to emmissions from motorvehicles.

South Africa has set the benchmark, where citizens although in the upper class have begun to build eco-friendly homes and offices, you can find out more information from http://www.hybridliving.co.za/

Firstly the costs of a solar powered setup are discouraging. As you say when building new offices and homes people should consider it.

The efficiency of running on solar is not so great, though I have heard there are panels that do not depend on direct sunlight which is a big boost and would encourag consumers to use solar energy.
